An international business resume must demonstrate your ability to deal with individuals from different cultures and showcase your global perspective. I started the international business resume below with a branded tag line that encompasses who Amanda is professionally: Driving Force Behind Designing and Implementing Business Restructuring, Brand Loyalty Programs, and Cost-effective Strategies Instrumental in Achieving Market and Sales Growth.

Then I chose three areas that were important to flesh out in the introduction: business and operations strategist; focused, respected team leader and product roadmaps and launches. Each of these received four sentences of fleshed out information.

As for the other professional strengths, I included several that were important, but weren’t necessary to flesh out: Product Launch & Positioning, Competitive Evaluation & Analysis, Territory Forecasting / Development, Operations & General Management, and Market Entry / Expansion (just to name a few).

In addition, I used color to add pizazz to the resume and ensure the introduction stands out. This is important because the first thing the interviewer does is read the Professional Experience section, and although Amanda has strong achievements, it’s vital the decision maker read the resume the way it was intended. From top to bottom, not from middle to top then bottom. The reason for this is because the resume tells a “story” and it’s best for the interviewer to take in your resume the way you intended.
