How Long Should Your Resume Be?

One page? Two pages? Three pages? How long should your resume be? Most job seekers buy into the fallacy that all resumes should be the same length. Not true!

The length of the resume depends on your experience, your career objective, and how many jobs you've held over the last 10-15 years.

In essence, your resume's length should be as long as you need it to be in order to sell your qualifications. If that can be accomplished in one page, great. If not, no problem.

The last thing you should worry about is page length. That will easily fall into place. The important part of resume writing is to make sure that your experience shines. Worrying about page length is a distraction to the larger picture.
