According to Silicon Valley Insider, Googlers [employees of Googles] in the U.S. get two meals a day free, according to the jobs page, but people we talk to at the Mountain View Googleplex tell us employees there are often chowing down three times a day. Google is open 251 days a year. So let's say that Google is providing about 600 meals per year, per employee. Read the article here.

Wow! That adds up to over $72 million a year.

Though it's a nice company perk, Google downsized 300 employees recently. I have to say that I rather give up my free two meals a day in favor of my co-workers keeping their job.
